about me
I'm inspired by all encompassing nature, words, patterns, concentric shapes, uncomfortable feelings, intrusive thoughts, retro video games and animations, empty space, liminality, balance, disorder, metamorphosis, and my Mom.

site history

I started making websites in middle school, experimenting with layout design offline and on freeservers like expages and geocities, until I got hosted by online friends I met in bb forums and mb's. I got my first domain starcastic.org in high school. And finally, pixelmeatloaf.com, unused until now except as an email forward.
The first forum I joined (credit to my sis) was on loverevolution.net [created by Drew]. I think it was their forum? I remember Candytown and Harmonyland, those two come to mind, but there were a handful of others that just popped in and out of existence that were special too. I wasn't all that active because I was (and still sort of am?) a shy guy. But I got to know a lot of cool and interesting people. I was endlessly inspired by the personal sites associated with that community and beyond. Neocities and nekoweb remind me of that time in the early 2000s.
