about me
I'm inspired by all encompassing nature, words, patterns, concentric shapes, uncomfortable feelings, intrusive thoughts, retro video games and animations, empty space, liminality, balance, disorder, metamorphosis, and my Mom.

site history

I started making websites in middle school, experimenting with layout design offline and on freeservers like geocities, until I got hosted by online friends I met in bb forums and mb's. I finally got my own domain starcastic.org in high school. I forgot to renew it at some point (and repurchasing it was too much), then pixelmeatloaf.com was acquired after some time, unused until now except as an email forward.
The first forum I joined, my sister showed me, was associated with loverevolution.net [created by PNUT]. I think it was their forum? I remember Harmonyland, but I wasn't really active on there because I was (still sort of am?) a shyguy irl and online. I was endlessly inspired by the personal sites associated with that community and beyond. Neocities and nekoweb remind me of that time in the early 2000s.
